Hello! My name is Alex and I am an organizational behavior researcher and assistant professor of management at Central Michigan University. I research leadership and ethics in organizations, investigating topics such as leader–follower relationships (LMX), servant leadership, and ethical conflict. In addition, I create educational content related to conducting research and statistical analyses. On this website, you will find information on my research and teaching.

Upcoming Presentations
Heading to Philadelphia this August for the Academy of Management (AOM) meeting? Catch my presentation titled “Resolute or Resigned: Follower Reactions to Leader–Follower Ethical Disagreement.” I will be sharing my findings on employees’ use of moral agency to advance ethical outcomes in their work.
Ongoing Research
I am currently conducting research related to servant leadership and its effects on employee behaviors within work groups. Specifically, I’m investigating the manner in which employees adopt servant behaviors from the leaders and provide empowerment and support as a form of emergent leadership towards their work peers.
